Tunnel profile gauging boat at Maida Hill on 16 October 2001

The event event went totally unrecorded in October 2001. It wasnt 100% certain that Beauchamp (whose public launch was that very day at Little Venice) would get through Maida Hill tunnel. Whilst Beauchamp's dignitaries were attending her launch at Little Venice, contractors, overseen by BW, were building this makeshift tunnel profile measuring boat for the purpose of mimicking Beauchamp's profile and making sure that she could safely navigate Maida Hill tunnel
